Inauguration of 46th PSPB Inter Unit Golf Tournament at Royal Calcutta Golf Club in Kolkata

Kolkata, 11 March 2026:The 46th PSPB Inter Unit Golf Tournament 2025–26, hosted by GAIL (India) Limited, commenced on 9 March 2026 at the iconic Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Kolkata—one of the oldest and most prestigious golf courses in the world. The tournament was officially inaugurated on 11 March 2026 by Shri R. K. Jain, Director (Finance), GAIL (India) Limited, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Inauguration Ceremony was also attended by Dr R S Velmurugan, Executive Director, GAIL Corporate Office, Ms Sabeena Chowdhary, Member Secretary, PSPB and Sunil Kumar Meena, CGM (HR-A&M), GAIL. The tournament will witness the 01st round of the tournament on11th March, 2026 and will finish on 12th March, 2026. Top National Amateur players i.e Sukhman Singh OIL, Vinamara Anand OIL, Anshul Mishra GAIL, Zara Anand GAIL & Guntas Kaur OIL will be seen in action.
The championship will culminate with the Prize Distribution Ceremony on 12 March 2026, celebrating excellence in golf and the enduring spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among India’s leading petroleum sector organizations.

ডোমকল বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রকে ঘিরে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের অন্দরমহলে প্রার্থী নির্বাচন নিয়ে ইতিমধ্যেই শুরু হয়েছে জোর চর্চা। বর্তমান রাজনৈতিক সমীকরণ ও সংগঠনের শক্তির নিরিখে ডোমকল টাউন প্রেসিডেন্ট কামরুজ্জামান মন্ডলের নাম সম্ভাব্য প্রার্থী হিসেবে ক্রমশই সামনে উঠে আসছে বলে দলীয় সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে। তৃণমূলের একাংশের মতে, কামরুজ্জামান মন্ডলকে প্রার্থী করা হলে বিরোধী শিবির থেকেও বড়সড় যোগদানের সম্ভাবনা তৈরি হতে পারে। বিশেষ করে কংগ্রেসের কয়েকজন ব্লক স্তরের নেতা তাঁদের সমর্থকদের নিয়ে তৃণমূলে যোগ দিতে পারেন বলে রাজনৈতিক মহলে জোর জল্পনা চলছে। সূত্রের দাবি, সারাংপুর ৫ নম্বর অঞ্চল থেকেই প্রায় এক হাজারের বেশি কর্মী-সমর্থক তৃণমূলে যোগ দিতে পারেন, যদি কামরুজ্জামানকে প্রার্থী করা হয়। দলীয় ঐক্যের ক্ষেত্রেও তাঁর প্রার্থিতা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা নিতে পারে বলে মনে করছেন অনেকেই। প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক জাফিকুল ইসলামের বিরোধী লবির একাধিক নেতাও কামরুজ্জামান মন্ডলকে সম্ভাব্য প্রার্থী হিসেবে সমর্থন জানাতে আগ্রহী বলে জানা গিয়েছে। ফলে দীর্ঘদিনের গোষ্ঠীদ্বন্দ্ব অনেকটাই কমে গিয়ে একজোট হয়ে নির্বাচনী ...
